1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Verify-Tag ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Verify-Tag provides a product authentication platform that enables businesses to generate QR codes, verify product authenticity, track ownership, and manage anti-counterfeiting measures.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Subscription Plans and Payment

Billing: Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis through Stripe. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

Plan Limits: Each plan has specific limits on QR codes and store users. Exceeding limits may require upgrading your plan.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period.

Price Changes: We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal purposes
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access
  • Use the Service to authenticate counterfeit products
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Verify-Tag and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of data you submit to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a license to use, store, and process your data to provide the Service.

8. Data Processing

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws including GDPR. For EU customers, we act as a data processor for customer data.

9. API Usage

If you access our API, you agree to:

  • Use API keys securely
  • Respect rate limits
  • Not circumvent access controls

10. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for downtime or service interruptions.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERIFY-TAG SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Verify-Tag from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Verify-Tag operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You waive the right to participate in class actions.

17. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
